Gashar Vati is a potent herbal formulation that specializes in managing “Vata” related issues in the gastrointestinal tract.

These tablets are formulated using a combination of salts and pungent herbs that work together to break down trapped flatus, reduce abdominal bloating, and neutralize acidity.

It is a staple in many Indian households for its effectiveness in treating discomfort after heavy or spicy meals and for maintaining overall gut motility.

Detailed Ingredient Information

• Shuddha Hing (Purified Ferula asafoetida): The primary carminative agent that relieves bloating and abdominal spasms.

• Black Salt (Kala Namak): Aids in digestion and provides a cooling effect while stimulating the production of digestive juices.

• Amchur (Dried Mango Powder): Provides a tangy base that helps in secreting salivary enzymes and improves taste.

• Ajwain (Carom Seeds): Known for its “Deepana” properties, it helps in clearing the gut and stopping fermentation in the stomach.

• Maricha (Black Pepper): Stimulates the “Agni” (digestive fire) and helps in the absorption of nutrients.

• Sunthi (Dry Ginger): Reduces inflammation in the gut and prevents nausea.

• Citric Acid/Nimbu Satva: Acts as a natural preservative and provides an effervescent-like action to relieve heaviness.

• Nausadar (Ammonium Chloride): A traditional salt used to clear congestion in the digestive tract and assist in gas expulsion.

Key Therapeutic Benefits

• Rapid Gas Relief: Quickly expels trapped gas and prevents the formation of new gas in the intestines.

• Bloating & Flatulence: Reduces the feeling of fullness and abdominal distension after eating.

• Indigestion Treatment: Helps in the breakdown of complex food particles, making it useful for those with sluggish digestion.

• Appetite Stimulation: Restores the desire to eat by clearing “Ama” (toxins) from the digestive tract.

• Abdominal Pain: Relieves mild colicky pain and cramps associated with wind and indigestion.

Precautions

• High Salt Content: Individuals with high blood pressure (hypertension) or those on a low-sodium diet should use this with caution.

• Acidity: While it helps with gas, the acidic and salty nature may occasionally irritate those with active stomach ulcers.

• Dosage: Standard dose is 1–2 tablets after meals. Excessive consumption may cause a burning sensation in the throat or stomach.

• Pregnancy: It is generally safe, but pregnant women should consult their physician due to the presence of Hing and salts.
